Body Confidence and Self Esteem

For the majority of my life I had low self esteem and body confidence issues. Goodness! Some of the the things I thought about myself were atrocious!

I reached a point where I had to change so I found ways to challenge my long held beliefs and,along with using my psychology background, my counselling qualifications, and some avid reading, I changed how I saw myself. I can teach you how to do the same.

When two thirds of people living in Britain are on a diet at one time; where, according to some articles, 80% of 10 year old girls have been on a diet; that more than half of girls and one third of boys want thinner bodies; and a UK charity to help beat disorders conducted a study where it was found over 725,000 people in the UK have an eating disorder; the time has come to address society’s attitudes to size and shape. Instead of seeing ourselves as a combination of numbers, where our age and size are often what we are labelled by, let’s see ourselves as the wonderful, multifaceted humans we are.

I run workshops and online courses for women, teenage girls and pre-teen girls. They have proved to be beneficial to the many women I have worked with. Please do contact me if you would like to know more.
