School Workshops
& Events

We provide age appropriate workshops for schools exploring key issues surrounding self esteem and body image.   All our sessions are delivered by our founder, Vie Portland.

Primary Schools

Sessions are activity led, encouraging discussion around appearance and acceptance.  These can be one off workshops tailored to your pupils' needs.

Alternatively,  a weekly programme can be provided for the classroom, or delivered as part of an after school club.

Sessions explore key themes such as confidence, self esteem, kindness, resilience, acceptance and building happiness.

A group of primary school age boys and girls sitting on a rainbow striped carpet, cross legged and listening to a story being read by their teacher. Behind them in the classroom are wicker baskets of resources, pens and crayons. They are all wearing navy blue school sweatshirts and white collared shirts. One boy has dark cropped hair and is touching his mouth in anticipation, looking wide eyed and excited. The girl to his left has long, ginger blonde hair and is holding her hands by her feet. She has a big smile.
Two secondary school girls descend the stairs in a corridor, carrying brown and beige satchels on their shoulders. The girl on the left is looking down slightly, laughing. She is asian and has her black hair tied back neatly. Her friend is white and blonde haired and is looking over at her with a smile. She also haas her hair tied back. Both are wearing navy blue school vest jumpers and short sleeved white polo shirts and grey pleated skirts.

Secondary School Workshops

We can provide one off sessions for groups of students.  These sessions are conversation led, encouraging targeted but open discussion around issues such as body image and self esteem.  More comprehensive weekly sessions can be provided.  These can be delivered as part of PSHE, or as an after school club and tailored to the specific needs of the group.

Specialist Courses For Young People

Building Boundaries

This workshop is designed for small groups of no more than 20 secondary school age students.  It is taught to one gender at a time and has been developed to encourage young people to establish boundaries in relationships, especially around those making sexual demands on them.

We are surrounded by “shoulds”- messages telling us what to expect; however, all too often, these messages are unrealistic and potentially damaging.

Through open discussion with our facilitator, Vie Portland, who will share case studies, young people will develop an understanding of consent and how to develop autonomy.

Duration

1 hour to 90 minutes

Starting from £80 per group.
